about

The recordings of this session are currently unavailable.

This night was organized as a second show for Richard Kamerman, who was visiting from New York. Bryan Eubanks drove up from Florida to join us.

The basic structure was the same as now: 6 musicians, names drawn at random, playing 5 sets.

Only 3 people were in the audience, but they were all women. This is the only time anyone had ever seen an all-female audience at any kind of experimental / improv music event. The requirement for 2 women to perform at each event was born from this. It prevents this disparity from ever happening again.
